Andersen Steinberg Group are looking for a DR Practitioner for their client, a leading FS organisation. This is a junior level role with the possibility to move up in a short period of time. The ideal candidate must have proven experience to undertake full, active roles within the planning, running and reporting of complex datacentre DR exercises. We are looking for someone who can work on their own initiative and get the job done, with potential to advance quickly.
Role Purpose:
- Improvement of IT Services Recovery & Resilience Capabilities
- Improvement of Core Bank IT Infrastructure Recovery and Resilience Capabilities
- Recovery strategy definition, business impact analysis
- Delivery and Maintenance of Group-wide assurance plan
- Maintaining and reporting datacenter exercises.
- Key skills and knowledge required:
- Specialist skills in IT Disaster Recovery.
- Ability to inspire and lead a step-change in technical and operational capabilities
- Planning and organizing datacenter strategy.
- High degree of communication skills.

The ideal candidate must have proven experience to undertake full, active roles within the planning, running and reporting of complex datacentre DR exercises, DR Testing and Relationship Management skills with various stakeholders.

Job Title: Disaster Recovery Consultant
Role Type: Permanent
Location: London
Salary: £70,000
ASG have a requirement for a disaster recovery consultant on behalf of a leading consultancy. Position-specific Requirements:
3 to 5+ years experience in reviewing and developing business recovery strategies.
3 to 5+ years experience in drafting procedures for identifying failures and invoking contingency plans.
3 to 5+ years experience in creating response procedures and identifies communication channels.
3 to 5+ years experience in communicating with various response teams during testing, actual execution of recovery procedures and supports the design, development, installation, implementation and administration of backup solutions.
3 to 5+ years experience making recommendations to the user community and the operations group on system enhancements, designs and administers programs to include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs and a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery.
