Academic Syllabus

The Business Continuity Institute has developed this Academic Syllabus in response to the growing demand from universities and business schools for guidance on the content of modules and course on Business Continuity Management. This Academic Syllabus reflects current guidance and standards and is intended to be applicable in all world regions with the course content reflecting the specific local issues and experience.

The syllabus suggests the content and scope of three levels of varying duration around which a course can be built. The BCI would be grateful if educational establishments who are interested in developing BCM courses or modules would register this with the BCI and indicate whether additional support or endorsement from the BCI would be useful.
