The Nominees

Esta Harding

"Esta’s enthusiastic passion for resilience and innovative ways to create awareness activities and exercises have been second to none."

Not only is she relatively young in this profession but she strives to ensure that BC and resilience is taken seriously and implemented in a fun and proactive manner.  Her first Business Continuity Awareness Week event was a “Fashion Show on the Parliamentary Precinct – encouraging teams to dress up in their Grab and Go gears”. This event was held in the Executive Wing Theatrette – no easy feat.  Esta is the current Vice-Chair of the Government Sector Business Continuity Group and often leads and welcomes all members to events. Esta is also the Secretariat of the Wellington BCI Forum and her use of te Reo Maori entwined with her knowledge of resilience is a refreshing way to lead by example. She is a breath of fresh air to the BC community and I wish to acknowledge that with this nomination.

Dale Cochrane

"Dale has been instrumental in adding new life into the Victorian/Tasmanian Committee(which Dale is the Chair of) by successfully engaging new BCI members with varied BC knowledge and experience to become new BCI Committee Members. "

The new Committee has a fresh and vibrant look and is actively working to promote the BCI to its members as being a membership that provides values, benefits, recognition and professional opportunities. Dale has a genuine passsion for the Business Continuity industry. Dale has actively worked with other professional bodies to extend the BCI community beyond its traditional circles/groups. He presented at 2018 Victorian Government Agencies member meeting on all current matters BCI related, these included, Industry reports, New Womens in Resilience group, Australasia Summit & Awards, Review on ISO 22301 & New academic journal. He has also directly worked with 7 Not-for-Profit organisations to assist in the development of their Business Continuity needs. The work included program reviews, Program development, Developing and facilitating exercises.
