Women in Resilience (WiR) is pleased to welcome you to another exciting Webinar ‘Leading through Uncertainty and Change’. During this webinar we will hear from two speakers sharing their experience of leadership through periods of uncertainty and change. They will share case studies and practical tips on how to overcome challenges. We will be joined by Lyn Webb and Amanda Coleman.

Leading through challenge
Lyn Webb FBCS – Lyn spent 20 years with the RAF completing her time as a Wing Commander and Aerospace Battle Manager. Having left the RAF she was a Director in Deloitte’s Cyber Security practice and is now CISO at the Open University.

During her presentation, Lyn will share her experience during her final years of leading challenging projects at the RAF and how she has taken those lessons into her new roles.

Finding light in the darkness: how can we effectively lead through a crisis?
Amanda Coleman – Amanda is a crisis communication specialist and is the director and founder of crisis communication consultancy Amanda Coleman Communication Ltd. She has more than 20 years experience in emergency services communication and leading at a time of crisis. She is the author of Crisis Communication Strategies. In 2017, Amanda led the law enforcement communication response to the Manchester Arena terrorist attack.

Amanda will share some tips and advice on what good and bad leadership looks like when businesses are under pressure. With case studies and examples from more than 20 years dealing with high profile police cases, she will try to get to the heart of what really matters in responding to an emergency. Amanda will consider the emotional toll that a crisis can take, how organisations need to prepare and the importance of personal resilience.
