Simon will present the recent BCI Horizon Scan report on behalf of both BSI Group and the BCI. 
The BCI's Horizon Scan Report for 2021 provides organizations with a valuable insight into the biggest disruptions from the previous 12 months, along with the future threats facing organizations in the year ahead. There is the legacy of the Covid 19 pandemic as well as the ongoing threats from risks such as climate change, cyber attacks and political upheaval. This panel session will provide you with the key messages from this report including the new emerging risks you should be considering.
This will lead into a group discussion around some of the topics and areas presented including the use and adoption of the ISO22301 Standard within your own BC programmes

Speaker
Simon has more than 20 years of experience in both NZ and the UK working at the highest levels in large organisations such as Computerland, Gen-i, Spark, IBM and specialist business continuity provider Plan B before starting Resilient IT and focusing on organisational resilience.
Resilient IT works in the areas of business continuity, information security and risk providing consulting, training, audit/review and exercising.  They work nationally within New Zealand with some of NZ’s largest enterprises including councils, district health boards, utilities and corporates.  They have successfully taken 13 NZ organisations through to certification in ISO27001 and achieved two further certifications to the ISO27018 standard for personally identifiable information in NZ.
Simon holds a MBCI, ISO22301/ISO27001 Lead Implementer, IRCA certified ISO27001 Lead Auditor and numerous sales and technical certifications. He has a strong business/technical mix covering IT, telecoms and business and has assisted many of New Zealand’s top companies in all aspects of their IT, IT DR, Information Security and BCM programmes.
Simon works with BSI group as a trainer across their risk portfolio of standards.
