The BCI North East Chapter is gathering again on 22nd November at the HQ of the Northumberland Fire & Rescue Service in Cramlington.
This will be a chance for members to gather in person, listen to some informative presentations and network over lunch. The guest speaker will be Charlotte Knill, Regional Cyber Protect Officer, NERCCU. Charlotte will provide an overview of the North East Regional Cyber Crime Unit and explain how they work with the three North East police forces when it comes to reducing the chances of individuals, businesses and organisations becoming victims of cyber crime. The session will explain the free services on offer to help people improve cyber security measures and what to do in the case of a cyber incident.
Following the opportunity to have lunch together, Russ Parramore, Chapter Leader, will facilitate a discussion on the key takeaways from BCI World and there will be an opportunity for all those attending to contribute and reflect on their own experience of BCI World. Russ will also deliver the BCI update before the meeting closes. This event hopes to build on the success of the last Chapter Meeting which was held at Northumbria University and provides another opportunity to meet in person, build networks, and share ideas.
