Operational resilience is an ability of an organization that allows people, processes and informational systems to adapt to changing business conditions and to withstand disruptive events. It is the ability to alter operations in the face of changing business conditions. Operational resilience is an emergent property of a business that enables it to continue operations despite the various disruptions. A key aim is to go beyond a crisis response within Business Continuity Management to achieve operational resilience.
