People aspects of BC – The importance of BC training and certification

The importance of human factor in business continuity management is incontestable. Within a robust business continuity management, in each step human interactions is seen and for some specific steps, it is clear that there is no alternate for humans. For this reason, globally recognized standards and practices on business continuity management, such as BCI GPG and ISO 22301, appreciates the importance of human factor and recommends/require to ensure necessary competence and awareness for the people doing work under the organizations’ control. While talking on the people aspects of business continuity, we should not only consider those member of staff who are responsible to establish and/or maintain the BC within an organization, as everyone within an organization has responsibilities in BC, training and certification might be a necessity for anyone doing work under the organization’s control.  

In this webinar, we will be discussing on why people are playing such critical role for ensuring resiliency and why it is important to ensure they are competent and aware of business continuity practices. Also, decision making mechanisms on correct training courses and certifications will be discussed, as effective and efficient training courses are what individuals and top managements concern about.
