Unstoppable since making the transition from aerospace engineering to Computer Sciences early on in her career, Dr. Taylor laid the foundation for the Software Engineering Industry and has since gone on to become the only technologist to deploy technology across the UK's health service and to architect transformational change across the European banking industry (twice).
Now, Dr. Taylor is known foremost as the world's first Smart Cities Tsar and is sought out by governments and organizations across the globe to advise on Smart Cities and their potential to become future hubs of business in an Internet of Things (IoT) world. Among her many accolades, she is currently the Principal UK Expert lead for the British Standards Institute (BSI) international team for Smart Cities and Artifical Intelligence. Her expertise in this field extends to advising the Chinese Government on their Smart City Programme and the European Commission on improving outcomes for citizens in an IoT world. Her work in this subject will be the focus of her keynote session when she joins us at the The ICC, Birmingham for BCI World 2020.
