Saskatchewan Emergency Planners Association (SEPA) and BCI Canada “In it Together”

  • 17 Nov 2017

The Saskatchewan Emergency Planners Association (SEPA) just wrapped up their annual conference which was held in Saskatoon in October 2017. Centered on the theme of “In it Together,” the program this year included two days of SK EMFS pre-conference training and workshops, two days of plenary sessions, breakout sessions, and panel discussions.  The Wednesday evening dinner and open-mic session featured keynote speaker Darby Allen.
For the past 21 years SEPA’s volunteer Board of Directors has planned, organized and hosted an annual conference – an event that is unique by design. Distinctive, because not only does the program inform emergency managers and response agencies, it also brings together Saskatchewan elected officials and community administrators responsible for emergency management from every corner of the province.
BCI Canada is proud to have supported SEPA through the years with sponsorship, tradeshow participation and sessions delivered by BCI Canada members. We are looking forward to helping SEPA continue to meet its objectives of exploring current resilience related policies, programs and lessons learned, while offering educational programming.
Session presenters have included Shannon Walter MBCI, Sue Bernier MBCI and Murray Saunders and Dave Arnott MBCI. Michelle Wall AMBCI is currently on the SEPA Board.
