The BCI and ACP agree new partnership

  • 21 Feb 2019

The BCI is delighted to announce a new partnership with the Association of Continuity Professionals (ACP). The partnership will see both organizations collaborating on a number of areas of mutual interest in the coming year. Both organizations are committed to providing educational and developmental opportunities for business continuity and resilience professionals so the opportunity to collaborate was an obvious choice. USA based professionals will see the BCI and ACP coming together in the following ways;

  • BCI USA Chapter President Alice Kaltenmark & Committee member Frank Perlmutter shared insights from BCI thought leadership at the ACP National Conference in Las Vegas on February 17
  • Production and publication of a thought leadership report
  • Presentations of BCI research material to be made available to all ACP Chapters to leverage at regional event
  • ACP participation in Business Continuity Awareness Week
  • Promotion of the ACPs local event program to the BCI community

BCI USA Chapter President Alice Kaltenmark said “ I am really excited by this partnership with the ACP. Our organizations have similar aims and working together in this way will only make it easier to achieve our BCI goal of a world where all organizations, communities and societies become more resilient together. I enjoyed attending and speaking at the ACP National Conference last week.  It was great to network with continuity colleagues from across the country.”

ACP National Chair Scott Ream said “This is another important alliance for ACP. Our relationship with BCI reinforces our vision and mission, ‘Shaping and supporting the global community of resilience practitioners.’ Together with BCI, our combined memberships will have an unprecedented opportunity for knowledge sharing and networking with like-minded individuals and organizations.  ACP believes active relationships between all member-based organizations within our space strengthens each partner, each member, as well as it strengthens our profession.”
