Kelly Blakeley MBCI is a global resilience and crisis-leadership specialist, BCI Board Director, and Founder of Flex Story, a consultancy supporting organisations and leaders to navigate uncertainty, complexity, and disruption in an increasingly technology-enabled world.

Her work spans business continuity, crisis management, simulations, and leadership development, with a strong focus on how technology, data, and AI are reshaping the future of resilience - and what this means for human decision-making under pressure. Kelly works at the intersection of emerging risk, digital transformation, and human-centred resilience, helping organisations prepare not just their systems, but their people.

Kelly has worked across governments, national resilience programmes, and standards-led environments, including supporting organisations aligned to international frameworks such as ISO. She has delivered advisory, training, and keynote sessions across the UK, the Middle East, and internationally, and is a regular speaker on the evolving skills, behaviours, and leadership capabilities required for resilience professionals at all stages of their careers.

She is particularly passionate about how the next phase of the resilience profession is shaped, and the role that both established leaders and the Next Generation play in building confidence, credibility, and influence.
