We are saddened to note the sudden and unexpected passing of our colleague and friend Andrew Tapp.

Many in the Business Continuity and Crisis Management sectors in Australia will have known Andrew, founder of Mitigator software, consultant, practitioner and mentor to many. Andrew worked in the Business Continuity arena for over 25 years and was a member of the BCI. He actively engaged in local NSW Forum meetings and events, and was a regular exhibitor, presenter, sponsor and supporter of The BCI Summit Australasia and the BCI Australasian Awards.

Andrew co-developed Mitigator in 2001 - 02 and released it in 2003 as one of the first applications to replace the traditional Word and spreadsheet methodology of BCM. Over the years, he continued to develop and enhance the tool, and had a wide base of installations across a number of states, especially in the Finance sector.

Andrew's friendly, cheerful and supportive nature made him one of the truly nice guys. He will be sadly missed in the industry where he had many friends and colleagues.

Our deepest sympathies are with his wife and family.
