BCI Saudi Arabia Chapter: Launching 2025 with Purpose and Momentum

The BCI Saudi Arabia Chapter has achieved significant success in 2025 with a series of engagements and strategic initiatives to advance business continuity and resilience across the Kingdom. The Chapter has already delivered seven key engagements with more activities scheduled throughout the remainder of the year.
Advancing regional collaborations
In January, the Chapter attended the GPRC Conferences in Riyadh and Dubai where Chapter leader, Atiq Bajwa FBCI, delivered a keynote speech. The Chapter also moderated panels and managed the BCI exhibition booth to promote the value of resilience and the role of the BCI in advancing resilience practices across the region.
In May, the Chapter hosted a free community event in Riyadh, attracting over 85 professionals. This event featured expert panels and a keynote by BCI Board Member Kelly Blakely demonstrating the BCI’s support for the Chapter’s activities.
Following this success, the Chapter supported two awareness days to reinforce key industry partnerships. Chapter Leader Atiq Bajwa delivered an insightful keynote at Saudi Post’s BCM Awareness Day, and the Chapter participated in Saudi Electric Company’s BCM Awareness Day with a dedicated BCI booth.
To conclude the successes of the previous five months, Vice Leader Mohamed Abuelkroush led a well-received BCAW+R webinar on ‘Technology’s Role in Organizational Resilience,’ further contributing to the Chapter’s knowledge-sharing mission.

Boosting engagement through editorial and outreach initiatives
To maximise its influence and reach, the Chapter has introduced two dedicated sub-committees.
The Editorial Sub-Committee, led by Faisal Almuhana, focuses on delivering research-based thought leadership articles published on the BCI website and the Chapter’s LinkedIn page and the Outreach Sub-Committee, led by Sultan Shukri, is responsible for organising community events and awareness campaigns that promote resilience best practices across industries. Both sub-groups have proved successful and are helping to build a more connected, informed, and resilient professional community.

Maintaining momentum: the road ahead
These accomplishments reflect an exceptional first five months and with a busy calendar ahead, the Saudi Arabia Chapter is well-positioned to strengthen its role in promoting resilience throughout the region.
Leader Atiq Bajwa said:
‘2025 has kicked off with incredible energy, and we’re just getting started!
The BCI Saudi Arabia Chapter is on a mission to ignite a culture of resilience across every sector of our nation. What we’ve achieved in just a few months proves the power of collaboration, passion, and purpose. I’m proud to see my Saudi colleagues leading these high-impact initiatives.’
The BCI Saudi Arabia Chapter has a busy calendar for rest of the year. They have planned several online webinars on important topics such as Business Continuity Fundamentals (in Arabic), Supply Chain Resilience, and Crisis Communication and Leadership. The Chapter is also planning a BCI KSA Chapter Annual (in-person) Conference.
If you're a resilience, risk, or continuity professional in Saudi Arabia, now is the time to step forward. Join the BCI and be part of a connected and forward-looking community of resilience professionals.
