Newly Elected Members Join the BCI Board
We are proud to share the results of the 2025 BCI Board Elections, held between October and November this year. The elections were a great success, marked by an impressive number of nominations and strong member participation in the voting process. We extend our sincere thanks to all BCI Members who submitted applications and to everyone who voted.
Glen Redstall FBCI, Chair of the BCI Board, commented:
“I’m pleased to note that both the number of members interested in standing for Board roles and the number of members voting in the election was by far the highest I’ve seen during my time on the Board. This level of engagement demonstrates the strength and vibrancy of our community, reinforcing the BCI’s continued relevance and value to our members.”
We are delighted to share that the new elected Board Members are:
- Des O'Callaghan Hon FBCI
- Kelly Blakeley MBCI
- Maura Santunione MBCI
Glen added:
“Congratulations to Maura and Des on your election to the Board, and to Kelly for your re-election – this is no small achievement. Collectively, you bring a wealth of personal, professional and volunteering experience to the BCI Board of Directors. I’m looking forward to working closely with you all as we continue to set a positive and ambitious path for our Institute.”
Pete Frielinghaus FBCI, Vice Chair of the BCI Board, also congratulated the newly elected Board Members: “I'm delighted to welcome Des to the board, with whom I've had the pleasure of collaborating on various BCI committees and working groups over the years. His wisdom, expertise and insight will be invaluable assets to our team, and I look forward to working with him and his contributions.
We're delighted to have Kelly back on board for a second term. Having worked closely with her on chapter meetings, conferences, and other activities, I'm confident she'll continue to bring her expertise and dedication to the board. I'm looking forward to collaborating with her over the next three years.
I'm pleased to start working with Maura on board, although we've yet to have the opportunity to collaborate directly. I'm eager to tap into her expertise and insights, and I'm confident she'll make valuable contributions to our team.”
