Education Month is the BCI's annual flagship campaign promoting professional development, training, and certification within the business continuity and resilience community.

7–25 September 2026 | Global | Online | Free to Attend

In 2026 the campaign is built entirely around a single, coherent theme: "BCI Education Month 2026 – The Learning Pathway" — a structured, stage-by-stage journey from entry-level certification through to the most advanced qualification in the profession.

Foundation - Build Strong Foundations in Good Practice

Every career in business continuity and resilience starts somewhere. Week 1 is built for the beginning, whether you're new to the profession, changing careers, or finally formalising expertise you've built on the job.

Where you are: Starting out, or formalising your existing expertise.
What this unlocks: CBCI certification → AMBCI grade, full BCI community access, a CPD framework, and mentoring.
Who this is for: Newcomers, career changers, and professionals seeking their first recognised BC qualification.

Application- Apply Good Practice with Confidence

You've laid the foundation with CBCI. Week 2 is about what comes next, turning certification into practical experience, and understanding what the next stage of the pathway can open up for your career.

Where you are: CBCI-qualified and building practical experience.
What this unlocks: AMBCI membership grade, eligibility for senior roles, and the ability to mentor others.
Who this is for: CBCI holders ready to progress.

Leadership - Lead Resilience with Insight and Responsibility

This is where the pathway leads. Week 3 is built for practitioners ready to move from applying good practice to shaping it.

Where you are: An experienced practitioner ready for strategic leadership.
What this unlocks: The route to MBCI and the FBCI pathway.
Who this is for: Senior practitioners.
