26 Women, 26 Resilience Journeys, One Community
The BCI Women in Resilience Special Interest Group is launching an inspiring podcast interview series called ‘26 in 26’.
Since its start, the Group’s aim has been to attract more women into the resilience and business continuity industry, and to help those already in the field to become leaders and advance in their careers.
To further this, the new series features interviews with 26 women throughout 2026. These fascinating resilience journeys, reflecting the diversity in our global community, have the goal of showing patterns and differences for women in the BC industry, and the challenges women face in the industry alongside tips to help them overcome them.
The women being interviewed have been selected by the WiR Group and the BCI – and the Group are running the majority of the interviews themselves.
What will you get?
The guests have been selected to give the maximum possible help to viewers. They have a very broad geographical, age, racial, sector and seniority diversity – and they are also from a range of industry types and subject specialisms, including BCI members and non-members.
Not only will there be insight on career paths, but also other volunteering opportunities, as some interviewees are involved in other BCI areas such as SIGs or initiatives like the Next Generation Network.
In terms of geographical representation, we have interviewees drawn from Asia, Africa, Europe, Australasia, North America, South America & the Caribbean and the Middle East.
A taster of some of the questions shows how useful the interviews will be for career inspiration and progression. For example, all interviewees are asked about their personal journey into the business resilience sector and what inspired them to pursue this career path.
We explore what key strategies or practices our guests have implemented during their career to ensure long-term resilience for their organizations, and we ask for their advice to women who want to enter business resilience.
In the light-hearted closing section, we also learn about our guests go-to snacks during an incident, what fictional characters they think would be useful in a crisis management team, and build up a playlist of songs to either motivate or create calm during crises.
The episodes will be available as video versions on the BCI's YouTube channel, and as audio on the Spotify and Apple platforms.
Look out for the first episode on July 1.
