The objective of this session is to raise awareness of the ISO Standards and the BCI’s GPG.  How they work together to achieve a successful and certifiable Business Continuity Management System.

We will discover the answers to these questions:  Which do I use, the standard or the guidelines?  What is a management system?  Finally, we will explore how to improve your Business Continuity programme.

    David is a Honorary Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute with at least 26 years’ experience in Business Continuity Management and over 40 years’ experience in the Information Technology industry.

    David has been an independent consultant for 23plus years working across a wide range of clients from many different organisations. These included Government Agencies, Lifeline Utilities, Commercial/Financial organisations, Health and Chartities.

    A recent role David was a Practice Manager Continuity Solutions for Datacom. He led a team that provided Business Continuity and IT Service Continuity Management to their customers. Part of David’s role was to continue the development of the continuity services for the customers.

    With over 18 years leadership experience David has led BCI Chapters, Continuity Forum NZ, Survive NZ Inc and was on the Advisory Committee of Survive NZ Ltd.
