Micro Webinars: AI for BCM - Governance Baseline and Guardrails
To register for this event please log in to your BCI website profile. If you do not have a website profile, please register here.
This AI SIG microlearning session is Session 2 of the Micro Webinars series for BCM and risk professionals. After Session 1 on LLM foundations and prompting, this webinar sets the governance baseline needed to scale AI use safely inside real organizations.
We focus on practical guardrails, decision rights, and data-handling rules so your AI usage is defensible, repeatable, and aligned with your organization’s risk and compliance expectations. You will learn how to define what data is safe to use with AI tools, how to avoid accidental disclosure of sensitive information, and how to establish clear “who can do what” boundaries across BCM teams, IT, security, legal, and vendors. We also address common failure modes such as shadow AI usage, inconsistent outputs, and uncontrolled tool sprawl. Expect a pragmatic governance checklist you can adopt immediately.
We will walk through a minimal set of policy elements, a simple decision-rights model, and day-to-day dos and don’ts relevant to BCM work. The session closes with Q&A and a short implementation walkthrough so you can translate the baseline into your operating model. To keep this programme member-driven, we will collect delegates’ top AI use cases during registration and use that input to prioritise future sessions.
