Day four of BCAW+R brought together five engaging webinars all focused on the impact of external shocks on organisations, and how risks that originate on the outside can quickly cascade through operations, supply chains, and people.

Daniel Stuart and Stephen Robinson of LRQA opened the day with findings from cyber investigations that shed light on how today’s attackers operate and where organisations remain most exposed. Their session highlighted how shifting risks are reshaping the cyber environment, what this means in practice, and the need to proactively strengthen defences to stay ahead of emerging threats.

Next, Daman Dev Sood presented a new approach to risk management through live and living risk registers. Using the December 2025 Indigo Airlines incident as a case study, he demonstrated how this method can provide a more real-time, responsive view of organisational risk.

At the midpoint of the day, Sev Cockayne and Isaac Wheatley led a webinar designed for the newly launched Next Generation Network (NGN) community. This webinar called on emerging professionals to challenge the status quo and shape the future of resilience. Combining Sev’s global expertise with Isaac’s next-generation perspectives they outlined an inspiring forward-looking approach for resilience.

The first afternoon session was delivered by John Verdi who explored how geopolitical tensions, cyber-attacks, and supply chain disruptions can quickly turn into internal operational problems. He covered how organisations can move from reacting to events to building proactive resilience, and highlighted the need for better visibility of risks, stronger scenario planning, and closer coordination across all an organisation’s teams.

The penultimate day of BCAW+R concluded with a presentation from Mohamed Hassan Ahmed Abuelqroush, who explored how external shocks quickly become internal failures and what organisations can do to strengthen resilience from the inside out. This lively discussion focused on embedding resilience into governance, culture, critical services, and technology to ensure organisations can always deliver what matters most under pressure.

Join us tomorrow for the final day of BCAW+R, which will focus on agile ‘antifragile’ leadership and how to build a culture that thrives in uncertainty.
