Senior Crisis Leader (retired UK Police Superintendent) with over 30
years’ in the public, private and non-profit sector dealing with
emergency, crisis and organizational resilience experience at
strategic, tactical and operational levels including collaboration and
mutual aid activations to support major incidents at a local, regional
and national level.
Key strengths include the development, implementation and validation
of business continuity in line with ISO 22301, together with the
development of integrated emergency management strategies for large
high risk, low frequency operations.
A proven track record of performance management whilst leading a
large geographically dispersed work force, adept in change and budget
management. Complemented by Masters’ level academia and professional
qualifications in Business Continuity, Emergency Management and Security.
Most recently Head of Emergency Preparedness, Business Continuity and
Resilience in the UK and formerly the Business Continuity Lead and
Emergency Manager for the Ministry of Advanced Education and the
British Columbia Ministry of Health, together with being a strategic
advisor on crisis management in the UAE.
A curriculum developer and course leader and university lecturer for
Buckinghamshire New University delivering the certificate in Business
Continuity (CBCI) and Diploma in Business Continuity (DBCI), together
with being a Chartered Security Professional and Fellow of the
Security Institute.
