Join us for an inspiring webinar where mentorship meets real-world crisis management. This session brings together Catherine and Paul, whose mentor-mentee partnership will take you behind the scenes of their professional journey, sharing candid case studies from both sides of the mentoring relationship.

At the heart of their story lies a compelling challenge: how do you create a Business Impact Analysis (BIA) document that serves two masters? Catherine and Paul will walk you through their collaborative approach to developing a BIA that's genuinely user-friendly during calm, everyday operations, yet transforms into a powerful, highly effective crisis management tool when disaster strikes.

Through their dual perspective, you'll discover how they tackled the complex puzzle of capturing all essential BIA components while ensuring the document delivers meaningful, actionable insights when every minute counts.

This isn't just about technical documentation—it's about the learning, coaching, and knowledge-sharing that happens when experienced professionals guide rising talent through real organizational challenges.

Whether you're currently in a mentoring relationship, considering one, or simply curious about how collaborative problem-solving can transform both people and processes, Catherine and Paul's story offers practical wisdom and fresh insights you can apply immediately.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Head of Operational Assurance, Genomics England

I'm the Head of Operational Assurance, where we partner with the NHS to deliver whole genome sequencing diagnostics that help patients access life-changing treatments. Our work also empowers researchers to uncover the causes of disease and develop breakthrough therapies.

In my role, I develop strategic frameworks for information risk management, ensuring we protect the sensitive genomic data entrusted to us by patients and research participants.

My journey began in Service Management before transitioning to Assurance four years ago. I recognised that in our rapidly evolving, technology-driven healthcare landscape, organisational resilience and data recovery capabilities often struggle to keep pace.

As we become increasingly dependent on digital infrastructure, building robust protections and earning participant trust isn't just important—it's essential to advancing genomic medicine.
