Passing knowledge and experiences from the more seasoned practitioners to younger colleagues is an opportunity for the latter to accelerate their career path. I am convinced, however, that it is equally important for the former to learn and embrace the expectations, ideas, and perspectives of Millennials and Gen Zs.

Please join us to hear a first-hand story of how an ethnically, generationally, and gender-wise diverse team established a trusting, psychologically safe environment for mutual professional growth. People are different, and we do not propose a one-size-fits-all model.

However, we hope that after this event, you are inspired to reach across generation gaps, share your views, and embrace even radically different perspectives regardless of your position on your current career path.

We look forward to welcoming you!

    Mikaiiro Laitinen

    Senior manager , KPMG

I have close to four decades of work-life experience, starting from the late 80s, and I am now well into the last quarter of my professional career. During the first part of my path, I held junior and senior positions in software development and system management for financial services, industrial, telco, and energy sector companies. I took a first pivotal turn in 2005, when I decided to pursue new career in building datacenters and establishing datacenter services for National Emergency Supply Agency. The second transition came in 2018 when I started as Business Continuity consultant. Since then, I have engaged in various voluntary activities at the BCI such as Awards Judge, Finland chapter vice-lead, and most recently a Membership Assessor. In addition, I proposed to create the AI Resilience SIG, which launched in autumn 2024. In addition to the BCI-activities, I sing in the Helsinki Cathedral chamber choir Viva Vox
