This event is aimed at presenting the New BCI Italy Chapter board members and illustrate the program of the forthcoming events/activities and reiterate the commitment of developing the resilience culture in Italy.
Building resilience requires a solid strategy and a profound transformation of our organizations. Paradigm shifts are needed, especially in the currently erratic scenarios characterized by an accelerated process of digitization and innovation resulting from the pandemic and other disruptions. Indeed, we are experiencing a historical moment where we have been impacted by a pandemic, geo-economic and political crises, increasingly articulated globalization, disruption of supply chains and logistics, as well as cyber-attacks exacerbated by the ongoing conflicts. Therefore, any organization and individual should treasure the maxim of the Oracle of Delphi, γνῶθι σεαυτόν or gnōthi seautón (meaning to ‘know yourself’). This is very current and applicable to any organization, individual and context.We need to undergo analysis, embarking on a path towards awareness. Knowledge is fundamental and strategic in the unpredictable context in which we find ourselves living and operating.
As BCI Italy Chapter we would like to create moments for dialectics aiming at sharing best practices, experiences, views, and contributing to further develop the culture of resilience in our Country.
We strongly believe that , in this digitized environment, it is equally strategic and fundamental to implement a so-called ‘harmonious’ innovation which implies a human-centric approach as a calibrated synthesis of the implementation of the disciplines of business continuity, risk management and cybersecurity able to guarantee a bionic culture in which technology must be combined with flexibility and adaptability, and finally completed by the experience of human beings. As the American sociologist Alvin Toffler - who argued that knowledge, not the workforce or possession of raw materials, would become the most important economic resource in all advanced societies – said: "The illiterates of the future will not be those who cannot read or write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and learn again."
