Bob Arnold, president of the Disaster Recovery Journal and Robert Nakao, publisher of Continuity Insights, have announced a collaboration of resources to ensure that Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery professionals are well-informed as they combat the COVID-19 crisis.

The challenges of business continuity professionals during these trying times are clearly two-fold. Like all Americans, first and foremost, is their focus is on the safety and wellbeing of their families and themselves. But as resilience professionals, they also shoulder tremendous responsibility for their colleagues and organizations, as well the continuity of operations throughout their organization’s supply chain.

“This is not a war that can be won alone. Partnering with Continuity Insights to information-share on all content related to COVID-19 is the responsible thing to do,” said Bob Arnold. “This is clearly in the best interests of our business continuity community.”

Both media brands firmly agree on the urgency to leverage their respective strengths and actively contribute in the fight against this novel coronavirus. Business continuity professionals are uniquely positioned and possess distinct skillsets for addressing various disruptions, from modest events to major adversities. The Disaster Recovery Journal and Continuity Insights, in cooperation with all practitioners and the vendor community, will together emerge stronger and more resilient as a result. “We must do everything we can as professionals to deal with this global emergency. More timely, relevant, and most importantly, usable information is critical,” said Robert Nakao. “It’s not up to any one of us, it’s up to all of us.”

This collaboration between the two media brands will feature the sharing of COVID-19 editorial content, including but not limited to, links to coronavirus-specific webinars, white papers, and other relevant information. More details will be forthcoming as the relationship continues to develop. The staff of the Disaster Recovery Journal and Continuity Insights extends best wishes for the wellbeing and health of the entire global business continuity community and their families.
