The BCI is pleased to announce the new CBCI Refresher Course, which has been designed for students who have previously completed the CBCI Certification Course.

The course will include updated knowledge from the recently released Good Practice Guidelines (GPG) Edition 7.0, as well as some of the lessons learned from international business continuity professionals during global events.

Indeed, for those who have previously completed the CBCI Certification Course, the course is intended to provide a ‘bridge’ of knowledge between the previous GPG 2018 Edition and that of the most recent GPG 7.0.

Business continuity and resilience practitioners understand the importance of continuous learning and the nature of iterative reviews. This is even reflected by the GPG 7.0 Edition, as it marks the start of a journey where the guidelines will be reviewed every year to reflect the changing practices of the business continuity and resilience industry as they happen. Therefore, this course has been designed with that in mind to make sure that the practitioner can return and refresh their own knowledge of the GPG and some of the intricacies of building and maintaining a business continuity management system (BCMS).

As such, the course will take the student through the six updated Professional Practices in the GPG and provide detailed learning outcomes that can be directly applied to their day-to-day job. Therefore, those who take part will come away with a new awareness and understanding of the evolving and continuous development of business continuity as a profession.

Upon successful completion of the course, the participant will receive 8 CPD points and a Certificate of Attendance from the BCI.

The CBCI Refresher Course is available to students who have passed any version of the CBCI Exam in the past and can be booked as a 2-week course delivered directly by the BCI or a 1-day course - delivered by our Licensed Training Partners.
