Introduction to Business Continuity Training Course (2 week - part time)

This course is designed as a first step for newcomers to the subject of business continuity, those wanting to start a career in business continuity, and for those for whom business continuity may be a part of their role or responsibilities who need to have a good understanding of the subject.

This course provides you with the basic knowledge and understanding of the building blocks required for developing or maintaining a business continuity management system.

The course is aligned to the BCI Good Practice Guidelines (GPG) Edition 7.0 and reflects current international standards in business continuity. The course comes complete with course slides and Student Workbook.

  • Explain the key elements of establishing a business continuity management system.

  • Examine key elements of enabling solutions and implement the principles of business continuity plans.
  • Explain validation by reviewing the exercising, maintenance and review phases.

Course details:

  • 2-week part time course
  • Interactive e-learning system
  • 7 hours of expert training
  • 3.5 hour classes once a week
  • Recorded sessions with access available until 10 days after course completion

There is no exam at the end of the course. Those attending the live sessions will receive a Certificate of Attendance from the BCI within 4 weeks of completion of the course and 8 CPD points.

Those who are unable to attend the live sessions and access the learning through the recorded sessions will have to submit a 300–500-word reflection document to highlight their takeaways from the course. This must be submitted to [email protected] within 10 days of completing the course. The Certificate of Attendance and 8 CPD points will be issued within 4 weeks of receipt and acceptance of this reflection write-up.
