In high-stakes, high-responsibility roles like those of continuity professionals, the emotional toll of constant vigilance and crisis management can be profound.

Join us for an insightful and empowering session presented by the Canadian Mental Health Association, focused on understanding and addressing compassion fatigue — a condition that affects those who care deeply and give consistently. This session will introduce participants to the ABCs of Prevention: Awareness, Balance, and Connection, a practical framework designed to help professionals recognize, manage, and prevent compassion fatigue in themselves and their teams.

Participants will gain:

  • Awareness – Learn to identify the early signs of compassion fatigue in yourself and others, and understand its impact on mental health and professional performance.
  • Balance – Discover effective coping strategies and self-care techniques that promote emotional resilience and sustainable work-life integration.
  • Connection – Explore the difference between depleting and nourishing activities, and how meaningful connections can serve as a buffer against burnout. Whether you're a leader, team member, or support staff, this session offers valuable tools to help you maintain your well-being while continuing to support others. Don’t miss this opportunity to invest in your mental health and professional longevity.
