In 2018, the healthcare sector in city-state Singapore experienced one of its most significant data breach incident involving 1.5 million patient records. While this crisis involved multiple government agency stakeholders, Gary will share from his perspective in one of the coordinating agencies covering the general sequence of events, response and incident reporting mechanisms involved, and post-crisis activities. Issues such as observations made and lessons learnt from a “whole of government” perspective as well as how internal assessment and coordination measures were enhanced will be covered.

    Director of Preparedness & Resiliency and Founder, Infinity Continuity

    Gary is the Director of Preparedness & Resiliency and Founder of Infinity Continuity and has about 20 years of operational experience in crisis, emergency preparedness and business continuity management. Gary’s professional resilience career began as a Senior Civil Defence Officer before moving to key government agencies assuming various resiliency and preparedness roles, followed by a few years in the private sector in the financial and crisis communications industry. Gary’s last role was in one of the “Big 4” professional services firms where his experience was tapped on as a resilience subject matter expert for various consulting pursuits.
