In 2018, the healthcare sector in city-state Singapore experienced one of its most significant data breach incident involving 1.5 million patient records. While this crisis involved multiple government agency stakeholders, Gary will share from his perspective in one of the coordinating agencies covering the general sequence of events, response and incident reporting mechanisms involved, and post-crisis activities. Issues such as observations made and lessons learnt from a “whole of government” perspective as well as how internal assessment and coordination measures were enhanced will be covered.
