    Nigel Hoggart

    Nigel has extensive experience in helping organisations assess business risks and mitigate threats, from IT failures to natural disasters. As the field has evolved—from disaster recovery to business continuity and now business resilience—Nigel has remained at the forefront, continually adapting and innovating.

    He is currently focused on helping organisations recognise the need for resilient crisis communication technologies, enabled by PressArea, the award-winning Press and Media Centre solution.

    Throughout his career, Nigel has collaborated with and partnered alongside leading IT disaster recovery and business continuity providers, including Sungard AS, HP, Network Disaster Recovery Ltd, and IBM.

    In 2005, as co-founder of Capital Continuity alongside Lee Exall, Nigel played a pivotal role in developing the concept of tiered server recovery, utilising BIPs—a breakthrough technology that enables the prioritisation and instant recovery of IT systems based on application importance and dependencies. His contributions have helped businesses enhance their resilience and maintain continuity in the face of disruption.

    Chris Tucker, BA Hons, CAM, MCIPR

    Chris has spent the past 30 plus years in Public Relations working in the voluntary, public and private sectors.  She worked in-house for Barclays Bank which she first joined as Head of PR for Barclaycard.  Chris went on to hold several PR positions across the bank looking after areas as diverse as business-to-business, international, Corporate Social Responsibility and IT before finally taking up the position of PR Director for the global Barclays Group.  

    On leaving Barclays Chris began her PR consultancy work with clients in several different sectors – from fintech to overseas development, ESG and crisis management.  Her work ranges from corporate writing to media relations to running crisis communication workshops and live scenarios.  She also provides coaching in giving media interviews, and training in financial PR, ESG and crisis communication.  Chris is a Course Leader for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Diploma. She also developed and leads the CIPR’s Crisis Communication Diploma, Chairs the CIPR’s Crisis Communication Network and is a founder member of the CIPR’s ESG Panel.
