The BCI North West England Chapter is hosting an in-person, workshop-led session in partnership with Continuity Shop on 10th June.
This event is designed to build practical capability, share good practice, and provide a structured opportunity for members to help shape the Chapter programme for 2026–2027, including the future direction of “Your North West.”
The content is aligned to the BCI Good Practice Guidelines (GPG) Edition 7.0 and the associated Professional Practices (PP1–PP6), with particular focus on PP1, PP2, PP3 and PP6.
What we will cover:
- CBCI, CPD and Mentoring: pathways, expectations, and how to get the most value from professional development
- Case Study Workshop: practical, scenario-based group learning to strengthen response quality and decision-making
- Business Impact Analysis (BIA): improving clarity, consistency, and value of outputs
- PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act): using continual improvement to strengthen BIA quality and resilience performance
“Your North West” workshop: member-led input into themes, speakers and formats for 2026–2027 virtual sessions
Learning objectives (GPG 7.0 mapped)
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Explain how BIA fits within a BCMS lifecycle and supports informed decision-making (PP1 / PP3)
- Apply BIA concepts to a practical case study and identify enhancements to analysis quality (PP3)
- Use a PDCA approach to translate lessons learned into measurable improvement and assurance (PP6)
- Identify next steps for CBCI, CPD and mentoring and create a short personal development action plan (PP2)
- Contribute to a prioritised set of topics and formats for the Chapter’s 2026–2027 virtual programme (PP1–PP6, member-led focus)
Expected outcomes for attendees
You will leave with:
- A practical set of BIA quality prompts/checks you can apply immediately (PP3)
- A simple PDCA improvement loop to strengthen performance, assurance and continual learning (PP6)
- Clear CBCI/CPD/mentoring next steps and how to access or contribute to mentoring (PP2)
- A member-generated “Your North West” priority list to inform the 2026–2027 virtual schedule (PP2 / PP6)
Networking time is available during breaks, over lunch, and after the final session—an opportunity to share approaches, compare tools/templates, and build peer connections across the North West.
We look forward to welcoming you!
