2025 Global Resilience Compensation Report Released

We’re pleased to announce the release of the 23rd edition Global Resilience Compensation Report, an initiative developed by Resilience360 Advisory and supported by the BCI. This study highlights how different factors may impact a professional’s earning potential in the resilience profession. It offers a rich, data-driven benchmark for professionals in business continuity, crisis management, IT disaster recovery, and resilience disciplines.
This year’s edition goes beyond salary benchmarking. It provides valuable insights to assess your marketability, plan hiring strategies, and guide career development. It helps professionals evaluate their fair earning potential and conduct a skills assessment to strengthen career trajectories.
Key trends in 2025
- Demand continues while talent supply remains tight: despite broader economic uncertainties, resilience roles remain in high demand. Demand drivers include pandemic-driven gaps, cyber threats, geopolitical instability, and regulatory pressures
However, talent availability is limited. Full‑time professionals report historically low unemployment, with fewer individuals actively seeking new roles or relocating- even amid a strong remote work trend.
- Compensation growth slows, yet remains positive: After a peak in wage growth during 2023, compensation increases have moderated. Global average base salary rose by 5.7%, rebounding from a dip in 2024.
This slowdown reflects a tightening market, though overall demand remains steady and salaries remain competitive.
- Consultants earning under pressure: Interestingly, although billing rates rose, consultant earnings fell by 9.6%, suggesting reduced billable hours and softer short-term demand in the contracting space.
How the report can help you
The 2025 report offers much more than a simple salary snapshot, it serves as a valuable resource for both individual professionals and organizations. Readers can use the data to compare their compensation across job titles, regions, levels of experience, and certifications. For employers, the report supports informed hiring strategies and retention planning by offering real-time compensation insights.
Why get involved?
Participating in the study unlocks a personalized compensation dashboard that allows professionals to benchmark accurately, assess their career progression, and make informed decisions about development and compensation.
The report focuses on current base compensation for both full-time permanent employees and contract, temporary, or self-employed consultants. To ensure consistency, all figures were converted to U.S. dollars. For consultants, the report also includes a breakdown of low and high hourly rates.
While participants could respond as part-time employees, unemployed, or retired, only data from full-time and contract professionals were included in this year’s analysis. Those who participated confidentially received a customized peer compensation dashboard, tailored by job title or years of experience, an essential tool for meaningful compensation benchmarking. To receive this, we encourage you to participate in the study by November 30, 2025.
